About the Active Ingredients

Lanolin protects and absorbs well into the skin. Is an excellent moisture reservoir for skin and especially helpful for hot spots. Echinacea kills bacteria and reduces inflammation, and is useful for inhibiting the destruction of tissue caused by bacteria and insect bites. Allantoin increases water content of skin cells and is extremely useful for healing wounds. Its ability to stimulate cell growth helps to clear away dead or unhealthy tissue to make way for new skin cells. Myrrh acts as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. Thyme is a strong antimicrobial and extremely helpful for preventing and treating infection.

About the Inactive Ingredients

Beeswax forms a protective barrier over the skin without clogging pores, and can rehydrate and rebuild damaged skin cells. Borage Seed Oil also contains GLA and is often used for skin rashes and disorders including eczema. Carnauba Wax helps protect wounds by providing a barrier on the skin. Coconut Oil reduces inflammation, keeps skin moisturized and helps speed wound healing. Castor Oil calms inflamed skin when applied topically and moisturizes deeply. Evening Primrose Oil is a high gamma-linoleic acid (GLA), an omega-6 fatty acid with potent anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties. Grapeseed Oil fortifies the skin’s barrier and helps to reduce water loss from the skin.

So in this house , We LOVE Dr.Maggie !! This product is the cats meow!! Or the dogs walk !! Lol not only does this amazing product work. Its alllll natural ! And LICKABLE!! Not only do i recommend Dr.Maggies products but i recommend buying them from this wonderful pet store!! Buy on line and the price is a knock out!! Iv used Dr.Maggies skin care ointment for cats and dogs for just a few days now and it works very well. Its basically polysporon for dogs and cats. But unlike the human polysporon that can make them very ill if they lick it. Dr.maggies is specially formulated with natural ingredients that is safe should your pet lick at it. Thank you to nature pet store for so graciously giving my fur babies and myself the chance to review such an amazing product!!!

    Treated hot spots fast

Published by Dorota on 14th Jul 2021

I have two dogs, and like many pets, they sometimes require ointment for their minor injuries, like the time my larger dog was chasing a ball and scraped both paws on gravel. In that case, I had to use human ointment, but I prefer something designed specifically for pets because we all know from experience that what can be useful for human skin can be bad for dog skin. This is why the Natural Antibacterial Ointment for Cuts, Bites, and Hot Spots is useful in cases where animals require treatment. I used a dab to treat a hot spot on my puggle, and after two days, I noticed it was lighter in colour and visibly smaller. What is especially great about this ointment is that it's antibacterial, so I don't have to cover up any cuts and scrapes (which is a struggle for any dog that hates bandages or wraps). Plus, it's non-toxic for animals, so I don't have to worry about them swallowing ingredients that can prove harmful to them. Overall, it's worth having on hand when the need arises.

    Helped reduce scratching so quickly

Published by Alina on 10th Jul 2021

I really liked this product. My cat had a big deer fly bite on his ear that he wouldn't stop scratching. I applied this to the bite and he seemd to be scratching a lot less. Great product!

    Great pet-friendly ointment

Published by Rose on 9th Jul 2021

I'm so happy to have this as it's a great product to have in case my fur baby ever gets a cut or scrape. It's not always easy to have an ointment that's pet friendly so this is wonderful. At the moment I'm using it on my dogs ears for hair loss as a previous review said it works great for that and I'm hoping to reap those rewards too. It was so easy to apply and it doesn't annoy or itch my dogs skin so she's not trying to get it off.

THE BEST! We have an older dog pal and his whole little back had hair falling out, turning almost bald :( THIS STUFF HEALED IT SOOOOOO FAST!!! The ointment didn't even seem to bother him when he had to have it put on! Now he's looking more handsome than ever :)
